In the winter time, you can find Kindred junior Tina Freier on the basketball court, but that's just one of the three sports she plays along with volleyball and track and field.
"I've always been involved with sports and pretty much that's all my summer is made up of," said Freier.
But that's just a portion of her life. She's active in school as she's a member of groups like student council and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, but what's close to Freier's heart is something her family's done for a long time.
"We do mission trips to Ethiopia as much as we can," she said. "We visit orphanages and schools, and churches and stuff like that. Just to get the chance to donate and spend time with people over there."
Going on mission trips is something Freier, herself, has been doing a while.

"My first mission trip that I got to go along with is when I was in fourth grade," said Freier. "That was very eye-opening as a fourth-grader to travel across the world."
She says it's important for her to be involved outside of sports, because it's important to give back.
