BRYAN, Texas – Dave and Lori Zabel of Horace, N.D., had a horse take first place Saturday night at the Dufur Quarter Horses Futurity. The win was worth $32,373.
Jolene Montgomery rode JL Jamaican Me Rich to victory.
“Absolutely amazing. Blessed,” Lori Zabel said in a news release. “Jolene picked him out and we trusted her instinct. Richie’s personality is as big as his stride. He’s really a kid at heart.”
