TAMPA, Fla.-Phil Hughes outdueled Masahiro Tanaka to lift the Minnesota Twins to a 2-1 spring training win over the New York Yankees Monday.
Bobby Wilson plated both runs for the Twins with a two-run homerun in the top of the second.
Tyler Austin scored the Yankees lone run with a solo homerun in the bottom of the fourth.
Hughes picked up the win for the Twins, striking out three and giving up one earned in four innings. Gabriel Moya picked up the save for Minnesota.
