Former North Dakota State quarterback Easton Stick had a great day at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis on Saturday, March 2.
His 40-yard dash, broad jump and vertical jump performances were among the best of all quarterbacks at the scouting combine and that appears to have improved his draft stock. And his three-cone drill time was among the best ever recorded at the Combine.
There were even some fans who believe that, because of Stick's obvious athleticism, perhaps the winningest QB in Football Championship Subdivision history should consider moving to wide receiver.

His 6.65 3-cone is second best since at least 2006 among Combine QBs.
His 4.05 short shuttle is 4th best in the same time period.
It shows in games, too.
Well, this is interesting. The best 3-cone time of Saturday went to ... @NDSUfootball QB Easton Stick, who beat out all of the WRs and TEs at 6.65 seconds, per https://t.co/8jqsRXUBKI: pic.twitter.com/oZQZ4GwP7n

.@NDSUfootball QB Easton Stick, when I asked what he will bring to an NFL team: “I’ve been fortunate to learn the process of winning and what it looks like, there’s a lot that goes into it. I was fortunate to learn a process that works and the mentality you have to have.”

I tuned into the NFL Scouting Combine today on NFL Network and noticed a young man who plays quarterback at North Dakota State University who's name is Easton Stick, did his parents lose a bet to Wayne Gretzky? pic.twitter.com/ej2BWJ3TgR

Correction, Easton Stick Still posted an elite #RAS at the #2019NFLCombine, but he DID complete the 40, and posted a great score there along with great agility and explosiveness.

If the Lions are going to draft a mid- or late-round QB to develop, I'm about ready to throw my support behind Easton Stick. 1. All-Pro name. 2. Love the idea of a dual-threat backup. 3. That name.

.@NDSUfootball QB Easton Stick doesn't has as much velocity on the out-routes in comparison to most of the other groupmates, but generally doing well to deliver accurately.

Tough to guauge him at the Combine, as he shines when plays begin to breakdown.#NFLCombine
