Invaders take down MinnDak Titans in NEFL football

EAST GRAND FORKS — Quarterback William Tudmon threw three touchdown passes to Jon Baune and the Fargo Invaders defeated the MinnDak Titans 40-12 in an Northern Elite Football League game Saturday.

Tudmon threw a 4-yard scoring pass to Baune in the first quarter but MinnDak led 12-8 early in the second quarter. Tudmon then hit Constant Jackson for a 19-yard touchdown and Baune caught three-straight TDs of 10, 10 and 14 yards for a 34-12 lead. Tudmon threw the first and third and Jamus Neal III hit Baune for the second TD in the streak.

The Invaders' Derek Alexander capped the scoring by intercepting a pass and returning it 75 yards for a score.

Tudmon completed 14 of 23 throws for 180 yards and the four TDs and he also led the Invaders with 60 rushing yards on six carries. Baune caught eight passes for 85 yards and the four scores. Rodney Stewart had three catches for 60 yards and Jackson caught two for 33 yards and a TD.

The Invaders are 4-2 in the NEFL and 4-3 overall. They play the 7-0 Minneapolis Warriors on July 10 in Moorhead.
