Kava scores 45 points in Shanley victory to reach 1,000 for his career

FARGO-Jake Kava scored a game-high 45 points to lead Fargo Shanley to a 77-58 victory against Bismarck St. Mary's on Wednesday in North Dakota Class A boys basketball.

In the game, Kava reached 1,000 points for his high school career.

John Nordberg led the Saints with 20 points.

Fargo Shanley improved 4-2 overall, while Bismarck St. Mary's fell to 0-7 overall with the nonconference loss.
