GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The Fargo North Spartans (2-0) remained undefeated in boys basketballl Thursday, holding off a fourth-quarter rally by Grand Forks Central to win 57-54.

Tyler Koenig led the Spartans with 26 points, 16 rebounds and 4 steals. Tyler Aberle added 10 points and 3 assists. The Spartans led

47-34 after three quarters, but were outscored 20-10 in the final frame.

The Knights were led by Drew Hysjulien with 24 points.

KINDRED, N.D. -- Cristina Aarestad and Ashley Burkhardsmeier netted 13 points apiece for Oak Grove to outlast Kindred in girls basketball action Thursday.

Halley Odegaard led the way for Kindred with 17, and Megan Bindas chipped in 15 to help the cause, but the Grovers proved to be too strong.

Oak Grove improved to 3-1 overall, while Kindred dropped to 1-3.
