Legion baseball: Fargo Post 2 splits games with Manitoba

FARGO — Fargo Post 2 bounced back with a 2-0 win in the nightfall after falling 7-4 in Game 1 in an American Legion baseball doubleheader against Manitoba on Thursday during Jim Pettersen Invitational play at Jack Williams Stadium.

In Game 1, Adam Leininger went 2-for-2 with a home run, two runs, two RBIs and two walks for Post 2.

Charlie Kalbrener went 2 of 3 with an RBI for Post 2 in the second game. Kaden Kvidera struck out six over five innings of work to earn the win.

Post 2 is slated to host Tri-City Red at 3:30 p.m. Friday and the SE Twins at 6 p.m.
