DULUTH, Minn. - The F-M Lumberjacks cruised to a convincing victory in the franchise's first-ever semi-pro football game on Saturday.
Brandon Jones ran for 175 yards and two touchdowns and the Lumberjacks (1-0) took down the Northshore Grizzlies (Duluth) 54-0.
F-M quarterback Dante Mathis threw for 321 yards and three TDs and rushed for two more.
On defense, F-M tallied five interceptions, highlighted by Seth Gilkey's 45-yard return for a touchdown.
The Lumberjacks will host their first home game at 4 p.m. Saturday against the Minnesota Silverbacks out of Burnsville, Minn.
