Comet senior running back Curt Felix, who missed last season, has picked up right where he left off when he broke the school's single-seasonrushing record in 2002.He is averaging almost 29 carries and 135 rushing yards over MSU's first two games. Felix was the first in MSU history to rush for 1,000 yards in a season in 2002.
- Former record-setting wide receiver Curtis Shaw is a member of the Comets coaching staff as a student assistant. Shaw set school marks for receptions (68), yards (854) and touchdown receptions (nine) lastseason. Shaw, who was an all-Dakota Athletic Conference selection in 2002 and 2003, is pursuing a degree in sports management.
