The Waubun-Ogema School Board voted 4-3 on Monday to offer Jason McCloskey the position as head coach.

When McCloskey accepts the job, it will end John Clark's 18-year run as the Bombers head football coach.

"They voted to offer me the job tonight," McCloskey said. "This is a job I think I can do. It's tough to replace a coach like John Clark."

Clark retired from teaching this year, and the district opened the position. Clark and McCloskey were the two options for the school board to vote between.

Clark led the team to the state 9-man championship game last year, where Waubun lost to powerhouse Stephen-Argyle.
