FARGO - North Dakota State men's basketball player Mike Felt was cited over the weekend by Fargo police for shoplifting.
"Mike made a bad decision and is facing up to it," said NDSU head coach Saul Phillips. "I know Mike as well as anyone and I'm under the firm belief that Mike's behavior in this event was not part of any pattern of deviance."
Felt was arrested Saturday at Northport Hornbacher's on suspicion of shoplifting an item less than $250, according to a police report.
The police report didn't specify what was he was suspected of stealing.
"He will be disciplined," Phillips said. "The level of discipline will be determined some time after his hearing."

The 6-foot-3 guard shot 47 percent (42 of 89) from 3-point range and led the team in the number of 3-pointers made. Felt averaged 13.9 minutes per game and played in 27 games, making no starts.
Felt is the second NDSU men's basketball player to be cited by the Fargo police in the past couple months. Taylor Braun, a redshirt freshman last season, was cited for minor in possession of alcohol on May 24.
