INDIANAPOLIS - Leroy Nobles scored 22 points as Indiana Purdue-Indianapolis defeated North Dakota State in Summit League men's basketball Thursday.
IUPUI (10-9, 4-2 Summit) held a two-point lead at halftime, and the Bison (9-7, 3-3) never got closer than a two-point deficit in the second half.
"We couldn't get enough stops in the second half to get traction," NDSU head coach Saul Phillips said.
Nobles was particularly tough down the stretch, scoring his team's final 15 points. He made eight of his 17 field-goal attempts.
"He's a real athletic wing," Phillips said. "Good in transition. Mid-range game was very good. He's a very athletic, dynamic wing in our league."

Drew Lundborg led the Bison with 13 points, despite the fact that Phillips said he had been battling strep throat. Taylor Braun added 12 points for NDSU in what was a pretty balanced scoring attack.
