MILKWAUKEE — The University of North Dakota men's basketball team fell behind early and never came back, losing 79-70 to nonconference foe Milwaukee Tuesday night.
The Panthers took control early, but UND managed to take the lead near the end of the first half. The Fighting Hawks could not retain the advantage and trailed at halftime.
The deficit ballooned to as many as 15 points midway through the second frame, keeping the visitors at arm's length throughout the remainder of the contest.
UND's Filip Rebraca and De'Sean Allen-Eikens both posted double-doubles in the loss. Rebraca led all scorers with both 24 points and 10 rebounds, while Allen-Eikens tallied 10 points and 12 rebounds. Marlon Stewart and Kienan Walter notched 14 points apiece.
Panthers guard Darius Roy led the team with 21 points.
