MN state volleyball: Wadena-Deer Creek sweeps Delano

ST. PAUL - Brittney Noon tallied a match-high 14 kills and added 11 digs as Wadena-Deer Creek remained unbeaten with a 25-18, 25-20, 25-18 victory against Delano in the quarterfinals of the Minnesota Class 2A state volleyball tournament Thursday.

Kelsi Crawford added 10 kills for WDC (31-0).

Olivia Garrett, Lyndsay Kelzer and Emilee Duske led Delano (22-9) with six kills apiece.

WDC advances to the semifinals, where it will face Sauk Centre at 7 p.m. Friday.

Sauk Centre upset the No. 3-seeded Marshall 11-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-23.

WDC (kills-blocks-aces): Crawford 10-1-0, Co. Volkmann 6-3-4 (32 assists, 13 digs), Noon 14-1-2, Craig 1-3-0, Carlisle 7-1-0, Miron 5-3-0.
