SARTELL, Minn. — Jacob Hendrickson hit two home runs and drove in seven runs and Quentin Hegg had four hits and five RBI as the Moorhead Blues tore up Ham Lake 19-6 in pool play at the Division I Legion state tournament on Friday at St. Cloud Orthopedics Field.
The Blues finished pool play 2-1 and will play Osseo in the tournament's single-elimination championship bracket at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 31, at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud. If the Blues win, they'll play the winner of the Tri-City Red and Willmar game in the semifinals at 4:30 p.m. Saturday.
Against Ham Lake, Hendrickson was 3-for-6 and three of Hegg's four hits were doubles. Ryan Luthi was 4-for-6 with an RBI and Kaleb Hodges was 2-for-4 and drove in two runs.
Hegg also worked a complete game, allowing four earned runs on eight hits and striking out four to get the win.
