OFFENSE
The Dragons signed six players on offense, including a pair of running backs and a quarterback.
Key player: Dedra Perkins, RB. Perkins, who comes to MSUM with Newman Smith High School teammate Mareiko Miles, is expected to see early playing time behind starter Enol Gilles. Running back recruit Curtis Bedgood also provides talented depth to the position.

DEFENSE
Ten recruits on defense are highlighted by four linebackers.
Key player: Logan Werlinger, LB. From nearby Moorhead High School, Werlinger is as versatile as they come. One of the Spuds' top offensive and defensive threats, Werlinger can run, catch and tackle. He'll likely be asked to be a full-time linebacker for the Dragons.
MEETING NEEDS
MSUM filled the void left by running back Dante Mathis' departure to the defensive side of the ball with a pair of small and speedy running backs.
Key players: Perkins, Bedgood, RB. Both have small builds, but could be feature backs some day.
IMMEDIATE IMPACT
Head coach Damon Tomeo says much of the class will be given the opportunity to play for a starting spot.
