Mussman named UND football coach

Chris Mussman is the new head football coach at the University of North Dakota. Mussman has been an assistant coach with the Sioux for the past nine seasons. He was named offensive coordinator in 2000 and was promoted to assistant head coach in 2003.

Mussman succeeds Dale Lennon, who took over as head coach at Southern Illinois.

The 39-year-old Mussman is a native of Owatonna, Minnesota. He played college football at Iowa State.
