Myhre, Strege, Barge Hall of Fame inductees

OXBOW - Jay Myhre of Rolette, Fred Strege of Wahpeton and Mike Barge of Chanhassen, Minn., will be inducted into the North Dakota Golf Hall of Fame in a 6:30 p.m. Friday reception at the Oxbow Country Club.

OXBOW - Jay Myhre of Rolette, Fred Strege of Wahpeton and Mike Barge of Chanhassen, Minn., will be inducted into the North Dakota Golf Hall of Fame in a 6:30 p.m. Friday reception at the Oxbow Country Club.

Myhre, born in 1957, won the Mid-Amateur Championship four times, was a Minot Country Club's International Tournament three times and represented North Dakota on the North American Cup Team in 1991 and USGA state team in 1999.

Strege, born in 1952, was a co-champion at the North Dakota Four-Ball tournament in 1999 and the senior four-ball tournament in 2008.

Barge, born in 1953, was a state high school champion in 1972 at Fargo South, was a medalist in the North Dakota state amateur in 1974 and 1975 and played in three USGA amateurs. Since turning pro in 1981, Barge won a Minnesota PGA stroke play title in 1988, Minnesota match play title in 1986 and 1990 and a Minnesota Senior Open in 2005 and 2006.
