WAHPETON, N.D.-North State College of Science is searching for a new football to replace Merle Johnson, who will leave his position in December after four seasons.
Science finished the 2017 season with a 5-4 record and was 26-14 in four seasons under Johnson. Johnson oversaw the football program when it transitioned from the Midwest Football Conference to the Minnesota College Athletic Conference in 2014.
"With our dedicated group of assistant coaches and returning players, I have confidence that the team will be in great hands as we prepare for the 2018 season and being the process of identifying our new head coach," Science athletic director Stu Engen said in a press release.
