NDHSAA approves Tier II contract with BEK Broadcasting

VALLEY CITY, N.D.-The North Dakota High School Activities Association board of directors has approved a contract with the BEK Broadcasting Network for television broadcast rights for what the league labels as Tier II events.

The five-year agreement will being for the 2018-19 school year. Tentative postseason events to be broadcast by the BEK Broadcasting Network are: state boys soccer; football first-round, quarterfinal and semifinals games; region and state volleyball; state wrestling; region boys and girls basketball; state baseball; state softball and state girls soccer.

The Tier II television contract is separate from the NDHSAA's Tier I contract which has Forum Communications Company providing telecasts for the Dakota Bowl football championship, state boys and girls hockey, Class A state boys and girls basketball and Class B state boys and girls basketball.
