North Dakota State replaced one assistant football coach with recruiting ties to Houston with another.
Terry Samuel, the offensive coordinator at Nebraska-Omaha, was hired as the NDSU wide receivers coach. He replaces Reggie Moore, who accepted a similar position at UCLA.
Bison head coach Craig Bohl didn't have to do much background research. Samuel was a star high school quarterback in Houston when Bohl, then an assistant coach, was recruiting the Houston area.
"We want to continue to recruit Houston and it's helpful to have a native Houstonian to do that," Bohl said.
