North Dakota State named Brynne Dordel as assistant softball coach on Monday. She was formerly the pitching coach at Ball State (Ind.) the last two years.
The Cardinals won back-to-back Mid-American Conference regular-season titles and compiled a 77-32 record in that span. One of her pitchers was named the 2013 MAC Freshman of the Year.
