FARGO - North Dakota State's football game with Western Carolina next fall has been moved to 2016 by mutual agreement between the two schools.

NDSU announced it will make an announcement in the near future for a replacement opponent. The Bison open the season Aug. 31 at Kansas State and the Western Carolina game was scheduled as the third game of the season.

Western is playing three Division I Football Bowl Subdivision opponents next season at Middle Tennessee State, Auburn and Virginia Tech.
