North Dakota State middle distance runner Laura Hermanson got some company for the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend in College Station, Texas. Teammate Leslie Brost qualified at the Iowa State Last Chance Qualifier over the weekend.
Brost, a freshman from Watertown, S.D., cleared 13-9¼, which topped the NCAA automatic qualifying mark and broke the school record she set earlier this year. Hermanson automatically qualified in the 800-meter run.
