FARGO - North Dakota State offensive guard Tyler Gimmestad was selected as the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week in the wake of NDSU's 48-7 win Saturday over Youngstown State.
The 6-foot-2, 298-pound junior from Marshall, Minn., graded out to 96 percent and had eight knockdown blocks in a coaching evaluation. He allowed no quarterback sacks or hurries as the Bison held a 364-211 advantage in total offense including 164 yards rushing led by running back John Crockett's 103 yards and two touchdowns on 25 attempts.
