FARGO-North Dakota State football fans going to the annual Spring Game scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Friday, April 20, will get their first experience with the new metal detectors at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome. The dome this week released a few guidelines for fans:

• It is recommended and encouraged that no unnecessary bags should be brought to the facility. The maximum size for a bag is 13 inches by 13 inches. A clear bag is encouraged but not required.

• Each entrance has an express lange option for those who do not bring a bag or any extra items to the event. Extra items are defined as strollers, diaper bags, etc. If you do not have anything other than what is in your pockets, the express lane is encouraged.

• Remove items from pockets. Signs will be posted at all gates as to the list of what items need to be removed before proceeding through the detectors. A full list of those items can be found at www.fargodome.com/guidelines-policies . Remove: cell phones, cameras, sunglass cases, tabacco tins and other large metal objects: Do not remove: belt, wallet, coins, jacket, shoes, watches/jewelry.

• Expect delays. Fans are encouraged to arrive early and when approaching detectors please have the identified property removed from your pockets. Containers will be available to divest those items to the other side of the detectors.
