MOORHEAD — No. 1-ranked St. Cloud State took down Minnesota State Moorhead 32-6 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference wrestling dual Thursday at Alex Nemzek Fieldhouse.
MSUM's Cole Jones, who is ranked No. 7 in the nation, notched a 6-4 decision over the top-ranked wrestler in the nation, Brett Velasquez at 125 pounds. MSUM's other victory came by way of 174-pounder Adam Blees' 1-0 decision against Hunter Gray.
The Dragons (2-8, 2-4 NSIC) will take on Southwest Minnesota State at 7 p.m. Friday in a conference dual in Marshall, Minn.
