ABERDEEN, S.D. — No. 18-ranked Minnesota State Moorhead tipped off the season with a 58-56 win over Central Missouri at the Regional Challenge tournament Friday afternoon.
Both teams shot below 40%, while the Dragons got 21 points off the bench compared to just six from Central Missouri (0-1).
Megan Hintz led MSUM with 13 points and seven rebounds. Sarah Jacobson added seven points, including two 3-pointers, while Natalie Steichen had a team-high four assists.
The Dragons (1-0) play Rogers State (Okla.) at 4 p.m. Saturday to conclude Regional Challenge play.
