GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Five University of North Dakota players scored in double figures Friday as the Sioux beat Mesa State 74-66.
UND (5-2) was led by Caro Nobles with 18 points - half of them from 3-point range. Evan Lindahl added 15, Josh Doyle 13, and Daniel Harkins and Adam Jacobson 10 apiece.
Doyle was 4-for-5 from 3-point range.
The Sioux shot 50 percent from the field in the first half and led 32-25 at the break. The Mavericks (4-1) responded by shooting 57 percent from the field in the second half but still could not overcome a UND team that had a 34-27 advantage on the boards and committed only seven turnovers on the game.
Mesa State was led by Andy Classick with 17 points, and Darnell Jones with 13 points, six rebounds and five assists. Stephen Soriano added 11 points and five boards.

The Mavericks made just six trips to the free throw line, making half the shots.
The Sioux host Colorado Christian at 8 tonight.
