BISMARCK — The North Dakota Game and Fish Department uses hunter harvest surveys to gain information to help decide future harvest regulations, such changing the number of licenses issued in future seasons.
Surveys are sent out shortly after hunting seasons, but not every hunter who buys a license will receive a survey. The NDGF aims to have a random representation of the hunting experience.
The NDGF will send out an email to a selection of hunters and will defer to a mailed survey if the hunter doesn't respond electronically.
"The week is designed to help raise public awareness for aquatic nuisance species and the steps we can take to prevent them from getting into our waterways," says Ben Holen, North Dakota Game and Fish Department ANS coordinator.
