This weekend will bring some intense heat to the region. Friday however, will be quite pleasant with highs in the 80s and sunshine for most of the North Land.
This weekend will bring quiet weather precipitation-wise. Most of the region will see mostly sunny skies. The main things to watch for will be the wind and heat coming in.
Winds this weekend will primarily come from the south as it brings in the warm air. The Dakotas and Minnesota will see most of the breeze Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday morning will already see the warmth with temperatures in the 60s and 70s for most of the region.
By Saturday afternoon the temperatures really kick up. Areas to the west will see the 90s begin to move in, with cooler temperatures to the East especially by the Great Lakes.

On Sunday we could see our first triple digit highs for parts of the region. The Dakotas and western Minnesota will see the worst of the heat, with more 90s and 80s in eastern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Make sure to keep this heat in mind with any outdoor activities. Drink plenty of water and take shade breaks.
