Northland Outdoors Forecast: Scattered showers bring some interruptions to the weekend
This weekend isn't shaping up to be a washout, but areas of showers area expected to continue across the Dakotas, Minnesota, and parts of the Upper Midwest.
We'll wake up to fairly cloudy sky and temperatures in the 50s and 60s. A few areas of showers and thundershowers will be in North Dakota and northern Minnesota. Check out the Futurecast outlook with the video above.
This weekend is shaping up to have generally lighter winds. We've had a breeze for parts of the area to finish out the work week, but both Saturday and Sunday will have light breezes here and there.
Temperatures will be cool for northern and northeastern parts of North Dakota and up into extreme northwestern Minnesota. A few scattered showers and an occasional rumble can't be ruled out. Saturday is not shaping up to be a washout, but any outdoor plans should have a back up.
Winds will again be on the lighter side Sunday. Sustain winds look to be less than 10 mph for most of the region.
We are looking a little drier Sunday. The Dakotas warm up into the 70s with a few lower 80s down near Sioux Falls. A few showers and thundershowers may linger over northeastern Minnesota and parts of Wisconsin. The combination of light winds, some sunshine, and highs in the 70s will make for a pleasant close to this weekend.
