Winds will continue to blow out of the west and southwest to finish out this work week. Temperatures will be cold on Friday as well and with the combination of these strong winds will make for a bitter finish to this work work week.
The breeze will linger Saturday morning and with the cold air sliding in from the north will start us off on a brisk note Saturday morning. Deer opener is this weekend for East River South Dakota as well as Wisconsin. Saturday morning will be quite cold to be sitting or even pushing deer. Don't forget the buddy heater.
The wind will finally settle down some for North Dakota and northern South Dakota by the afternoon hours of Saturday, but eastern South Dakota through Minnesota and into Wisconsin will still be dealing with the breeze all day long.
Saturday will be a cold one. Highs could stay in the single digits for parts of northern Minnesota with teens for the surrounding area. It is really looking like a decent day to make ice or make more ice for those smaller lakes that have already froze over.
Sunday will be the start of a little moderating temperature trend. Highs will return to the 20s to 30s around the area. South of I-90 in South Dakota will reach above freezing with highs near 50° in Rapid City.

Sunday isn't looking as windy as what we've had in the area Thursday and Friday to finish this week, but there will be breeze you'll notice if you are out and about. This will keep most of our wind chills in the teens Sunday or even some single digits.
