Olympic gold medalist Gardner to speak at BSA

FARGO - Former United States Olympian and gold medal heavyweight wrestler Rulon Gardner will speak at the Bison Sports Arena at 6 p.m. on Nov. 10 following the conclusion of the 43rd Bison Open wrestling tournament.

FARGO - Former United States Olympian and gold medal heavyweight wrestler Rulon Gardner will speak at the Bison Sports Arena at 6 p.m. on Nov. 10 following the conclusion of the 43rd Bison Open wrestling tournament.

Gardner is most known for upsetting Alexander Karelin in the gold-medal round of the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Karelin was previously undefeated in 13 years of international competition. Gardner also won the bronze medal in 2004.

Tickets for the event are $15 and include Gardner's speech, autographs and photos. Tickets are separate from the Bison Open, which begins at 10:30 a.m.
