Omaha tops Fighting Hawks in men's hoops

GRAND FORKS — Omaha tallied a 66-62 victory over the University of North Dakota in Summit League men's basketball Wednesday at Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.

Marlon Stewart knocked down 4 of 7 3-point attempts to fuel a 22-point performance to lead UND. Stewart added five rebounds and three assists. De'Sean Allen-Eikens added 14 points and Billy Brown scored 12.

JT Gibson and KJ Robinson each scored 17 points to pace Omaha (10-8, 3-0 SL).

The Omaha defense held UND to 34.5% (19 of 55) from the field in the contest.

The Fighting Hawks (8-9, 2-1) next face Oral Roberts at 7 p.m. Saturday in Tulsa, Okla.
