CROOKSTON, Minn. — On Saturday, Sept. 7, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the emergency room at RiverView Health in Crookston for an 18-year-old man who had a gunshot wound.

According to authorities, the man was being treated for minor injuries as a result of an accidental discharge of his firearm while hunting geese. No further information will be released.

The sheriff’s office asks the public to use caution when handling firearms.
