The Fargo Park District is considering rebuilding three holes at Edgewood golf course this summer in one phase, rather than spread the project out over two years as originally planned.
The renovation to flood-prone holes 2, 3 and 4 would raise all tees and greens on the course to at least a flood level of 28 feet.
"We might go for it," said Roger Gress, Park District executive director. "We might throw some ideas out there."
If they do go for it - with the primary reason being existing flood damage would require some work to be done anyway - construction would cause a modification to one or more holes. A plan has yet to be determined.
The project calls for hole No. 2 to be shortened to a par 4 with the green moved slightly uphill to the east. No. 3 will be a new par 3 adjacent to the road coming into Edgewood. No. 4 will be a par 5 that will use the existing No. 5 green.

One possibility would be to hold off construction of a pond between holes 2 and 4 until fall to help minimize interruptions.
The Fargo Park Board will review bids for the project at its Monday meeting. Also on the agenda is discussion about permanent levees at Rose Creek golf course in south Fargo.
