Two chances went awry.
There wouldn't be a third.
After setting up and taking the final shot in regulation and the first overtime, Perham fell 63-59 in double overtime to Park Rapids Thursday in the Minnesota Class 2A, Section 8 boys basketball semifinals at Concordia's Memorial Auditorium.
It was a sour end to a 20-7 season.
"Our post players have got to make shots," Yellowjackets coach Dave Cresap said. "Our post players didn't show up."

The Panthers broke open a nip-and-tuck affair with a 10-0 run for a 32-22 third-quarter edge. Perham then rallied to take a 50-47 lead late in the fourth quarter, only to turn over the ball, allowing Park Rapids' Jack Juberian to force OT on a 3-pointer with :07 to go.
Five points by Jason Schmidt in the second extra session, however, pushed Park Rapids into today's section final against Pelican Rapids, slated for 7 p.m. at Concordia.
Brady Zubke paced the Panthers with 21 points, while Kyle Gustaftson had 19 points, eight assists and six steals for the Yellowjackets.
