OMAHA, Neb. — Fargo Post 2’s Senior Babe Ruth baseball team picked up two more wins Sunday to finish the Creighton Prep Tournament with a 3-1 record, beating Millard South of Omaha 8-7 in nine innings and Brandon Valley, S.D., 5-1.
In the top of the ninth against Millard South, Caden Headlee hit a solo home run to give Post 2 its 8-7 lead. Luke Kallod led Post 2 with three hits in the game. Against Brandon Valley, Headlee allowed one hit over five innings and zero runs. Drew Sandy and Jace Dew each had two hits.
On Saturday, Post 2 lost to Rocky Mountain High School from Fort Collins, Colo., 4-0. Jace Dew had two hits for Post 2. Post 2 beat Creighton Prep of Omaha 6-3. Cole Hage had two hits including a solo home run. Zach Sandy picked up the win.
