West Fargo improved to 9-0 in conference action, taking two games from Fargo South Thursday in high school baseball.

Chris Hanes got the win in the opener, hurling seven innings, giving up just two hits and one run.

In the second game, Jimmy Hoy had a home run and three RBI, while Matt Ekren added two RBI for West Fargo (12-2).

Reid Arnold drove in nine runs Thursday as Fargo North rolled past Devils Lake in a baseball doubleheader.

Arnold hit his first homer of the year in the second game, while Matt Summerfeld and Doug Sylvester each drove in three runs in the finale.

In the opener, Jake Laber had three RBI and picked up the win. Steve Hirchert was the winning pitcher in the second game for the Spartans (7-1 EDC, 12-4 overall).

Casey Johnson, David Anderson and Brian Cooksey each had two hits for the Rebels (7-3, 4-0 HOL).

Kenneth Hayden went 3-for-4 for Ada-Borup.
