Prep football: West Fargo upsets Bismarck Century

A touchdown and a PAT was what it took for the Packers to defeat No. 2-ranked Century in both teams' season-opener on Friday night.

BISMARCK — Max Pfau’s 1-yard touchdown run and an extra point in the second quarter helped West Fargo upset No. 2-ranked Bismarck Century 7-6 in both teams’ season-opener on Friday.

West Fargo improved to 1-0 overall while Bismarck fell to 0-1 overall

Fargo Shanley 40, Bismarck 18
BISMARCK — Shanley blistered Bismarck in the season-opener for both teams on Friday night.

Fargo Shanley is now 1-0 overall while Bismarck dropped to 0-1 overall

Mandan 34, Fargo Davies 26
MANDAN — Mandan bested the Eagles in the opening game of the season for both teams on Friday night.


Fargo Davies fell 0-1 overall and Mandan is now 1-0 overall.

Fargo South 45, Williston 6
WILLISTON — Fargo South ran away from Williston on the road on Friday night in the South’s season-openers.

Fargo South is 1-0 overall while Williston fell to 0-2 overall.

Sargent County 20, Fargo Oak Grove 13
FORMAN, N.D. — Sargent County edged the Grovers on Friday night for its first win of the season.

Fargo Oak Grove fell to 0-2 overall and Sargent County now is 1-1 overall.
