RED RIVER UPSETS THE NUMBER ONE SEED IN THE WEST
FARGO – Red River took on the number one seed from the West in the Minot Majettes. In the second, Majettes up one and Maggie Fricke went deep from beyond the college arc to extend the Minot lead. The Riders made an offensive push. Cassidy O'Halloran went off the glass and in for three to take the lead. It was all Red River after that. Jocelyn Schiller drove down the lane and finished with the jumper. The Roughriders upset number one Minot 50-43.
MIRILEY SIMON LED THE PACKERS TO A NAIL BITING WIN OVER BISMARCK
FARGO – West Fargo and Bismarck wrapped up the girls’ quarterfinal play tonight. Both teams traded points late in the second. Demons down one, Jersey Berg swished the jumper and Bismarck started to build a lead. Three minutes to go, Brylie Peterson called her number and down went the three and the Packers took back the lead. West Fargo went from down one to up five thanks to Chloe Pfau who drained the clutch three late in the fourth. Miriley Simon's 24 points led the way to the packers 65-59 victory.
BISMARCK CENTURY PROVES WHY THEY’RE THE “TOP DOG” OF THE BOYS CLASS A STATE TOURNAMENT

FARGO – Shanley took on the number one seed from the west in the Bismarck Century Patriots. Deacons down early in the first, Kaden Christmann waited and put up the jumper to close the gap to eight. Century continued to push on offense. Tyler Birst beyond the arc tacked on three to grow the lead to 20. The Patriots ran away with it in the second. It was Birst once again showing off his versatility with the dynamic lay-in. Century dominated Shanley 77-45.
NORTH BOYS BATTLE BACK TO PUNCH THEIR TICKET TO THE CLASS A STATE SEMIFINALS
FARGO – Bismarck Legacy and North wrapped up the boys quarterfinal round. In the first half tied at 40, Parker Falcon hit nothing but net with the three pointer. Legacy went up by four at the half. The Spartans battled back in the second half. Matthew Sem, from the corner, knocked it in for three to go up by two. In the final minutes of the game, it was Sem again. He picked up 23 points in tonight's game. North punched its ticket to the semifinals 82-80.
CENTRAL CASS OUTLASTS KINDRED IN THE CLASS B REGION ONE FINALS
WAHPETON – The Kindred Vikings took on the undefeated Central Cass Squirrels. In the first quarter, Central Cass up five when Carter Vrchota, all alone in the corner, sank the three pointer to grow the lead. In the second quarter, Kindred didn’t back down. Karson Ouse under the rim got the two-handed dunk. Kindred was back within six. In the fourth quarter, it was a one-point Central Cass lead when senior Sam Kobbervig came up with the big shot. Central Cass headed to state, winning 44-40.
THOMPSON IS BACK IN THE BOYS CLASS B STATE TOURNAMENT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOUR YEARS
GRAND FORKS – Thompson looked to punch their ticket to state, but first up Grafton. The Spoilers looked to spoil that. In the third quarter, Braylon Baldwin knocked down the three to cut the lead down to four. Thompson came right back. Drew Overby spun circles around the Grafton defense and got the lay-in. Grafton cut it to one with 37 seconds left, but Brayden Wolfgram sank the clutch three to put the Tommies up four. Thompson is headed to state for the first time since 2019 as they knocked off last year's Region 2 champs 46-41.
