Boys basketball roundup: Spuds, Falcons pick up wins on Friday

Moorhead edged St. Michael-Albertville in three overtimes and Moorhead Park Christian cruised to a win over Rothsay.

ST. MICHAEL — Moorhead needed three overtime periods but eventually prevailed over St. Michael-Albertville 74-71 on Friday night in the Spuds' final regular season game.

Moorhead's Colton Hagen scored 23 points and Adam Jenkins finished with 21. Dylan Zimmerman scored 10 points and Jaden Griffin scored eight.

The Spuds are 18-8 overall heading into the Section 8AAAA playoffs.

Park Christian 64, Rothsay 36
Kyler Card scored 22 points and grabbed six rebounds to lead the Falcons to the victory, their fifth straight, in their final regular season game on Friday.

Isaac Jacobson scored 12 points and Daniel Swiers finished with 10 points and nine rebounds. Tyler Loeb had five points, four rebounds and six assists.

The Falcons will head into the Section 6A playoffs with a 12-13 record.
