FARGO — Fargo Davies tallied a 3-0 shutout win over Minot in North Dakota girls hockey Wednesday afternoon at Farmers Union Insurance Center.
Olivia Opheim struck first for Davies at the 6 minutes, 38 seconds mark of the opening period, on assists from Taylor Klassen and Kaia Johnson. Josie Froslie stretched the Eagles lead to 2-0 with a goal at the 12:57 mark of the second frame, assisted by Sandra Sampson and Morgan Sauvageau. Opheim then added another goal in the third on assists from Kaylie Zimmerman and Mathilde Vetter.
Eagles goalie Kennedy Cook tallied 11 saves for the shutout. Davies had a 37-11 advantage in shots on goal.

The Eagles rose to 4-0 this season and have surrendered only one goal thus far. Minot dropped to 2-2-1 overall.
