Fargo North boys hockey thumps Crookston at holiday tournament

North scored the first seven goals of the game on Wednesday at the Engelstad Holiday Classic in Thief River Falls.

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn. — Fargo North scored the game's first seven goals and defeated Crookston 9-1 on Wednesday at the Engelstad Holiday Classic at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
The Spartans' Nathaniel Fritel, Reece Dorsey and Owen Branson all had two goals and an assist, and Brendan Mcgetrick-Richards had a goal and two assists.
Sam Fritel and Koby Kiland both scored goals and Ray Watson and Logan Olson both had three assists. Connor Holm had two assists and Charlie Kalbrenner and Brody Milliard also had assists.
North improved to 4-3 overall and plays Thief River Falls at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, in Thief River Falls.
