Fargo North hires Travis Hoeg as head boys basketball coach

Hoeg assumed the role of interim head coach near the end of the 2021-22 season and led the Spartans to a sixth-place finish at the North Dakota Class A state tournament

FARGO — Fargo North announced Friday, April 22, the selection of Travis Hoeg as the Spartans head boys basketball coach.

Hoeg assumed the role of interim head coach near the end of the 2021-22 season and led the Spartans to a sixth-place finish at the North Dakota Class A state tournament. He's coached at multiple levels and programs at North and Ben Franklin Middle School since 1995.

“Not only does coach Hoeg bring a wide range of coaching experiences to the Spartan team, but a genuine enthusiasm to the game of basketball. Travis is committed to character building and fostering positive relationships within the North community. He has a passion for working with and teaching young people," North activities coordinator Dan Shultis said in a press release.
