Fargo Shanley hires former Bison Alexis Bachmeier as new head volleyball coach

Bachmeier, a 2021 NDSU graduate, played in all 18 matches her senior season at NDSU, making 13 starts.

FARGO — Former North Dakota State volleyball player Alexis Bachmeier was named as the new head volleyball coach at Fargo Shanley High School, Shanley Activities Director Reggie Jackson announced Friday in a press release.

Bachmeier, a 2021 NDSU graduate, played in all 18 matches her senior season at NDSU, making 13 starts. She ranked third on the team with 126 total kills and 2.1 kills per set. She also tallied 170 digs and 16 aces for third-most on the team in both categories.

"I am extremely grateful and excited for the opportunity to coach at Shanley," Bachmeier, a Fargo North High School graduate, said in the release. "I look forward to working with the staff, players and families of the girls. Go Deacons!"
