BOYS

Fargo Davies 85, Moorhead 78

MOORHEAD — Mason Klabo and Ian Motschenbacher combined for 57 points in Fargo Davies’ victory over the Spuds on Friday night.

The Eagles shot 51% from the field (30 of 58) and 50% from 3-point range (10 of 20).

Klabo finished with 36 points, seven rebounds, five assists and three steals. Motschenbacher scored 21 points and grabbed five rebounds. Raymond Brown scored 13 points.

Moorhead’s Mekhi Elmore had 28 points, seven rebounds and four assists. Dylan Zimmerman scored 17 points and grabbed six rebounds. Adam Jenkins just missed a double-double, finishing with 14 points and nine rebounds.

Davies, which is No. 4 in the latest North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Class A poll, is 9-1 both overall and in the EDC and has won six in a row. Moorhead fell to 5-8 overall.

GF Red River 62, Fargo North 61

GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks Red River tallied a narrow Eastern Dakota Conference win over Fargo North.

Four Spartans scored double-digit points, led by Gabe Sagvold’s 17 with seven rebounds. Isaac Cody followed with 13 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals. Carter Zeller had 11 points and eight boards, and Luke Loberg poured in 10 points with nine rebounds.

Paine Parks totaled 18 points and nine rebounds to lead the Roughriders. Carter Byron had 12 points, while Res Rowekamp scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Red River improved to 5-3 both overall and in the EDC, while North dropped to 6-6 overall and 5-6 in the EDC.

GF Central 67, Fargo South 56

GRAND FORKS — Grand Forks Central knocked off Fargo South in EDC action.

Diamond McGill scored a team-high 17 points to lead the Bruins. James Hamilton tallied a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Cole Kegbeh and William Lacher each poured in five points.

Erick Paye had 23 points, eight rebounds and three blocks to lead GFC.

GFC improved to 3-7 overall and 3-6 in the EDC. South fell to 6-6 overall and 6-5 in the EDC.

GIRLS

Fargo Davies 71, Moorhead 43

MOORHEAD — Fargo Davies rolled to a nonconference victory over Moorhead.

Karley Franks scored a game-high 23 points to pace Davies. Ashton Safranski had 14 points with three assists and five steals. Maci Wheeldon poured in 10 points with five boards.

Rosie Anderson led the Spuds (3-9) with 12 points and eight rebounds. Haley Oberg followed with 11 points and five rebounds, and Anna Nelson added nine points.

Davies (9-1), which is No. 4 in the latest NDAPSSA Class A poll, has won five games in a row.

Red River 60, Fargo North 41

FARGO — Grand Forks Red River’s strong first half sparked the Roughriders to an EDC win over Fargo North.

Red River led 34-17 at the break.

Grace Thiel led the Spartans with 14 points, adding five rebounds. Arden Faulkner followed with 10 points and seven rebounds.

Jocelyn Schiller totaled 14 points, seven assists and six steals for the Roughriders. Hannah Litzinger followed with 12 points and nine boards.

North dropped to 3-9 overall and 3-8 in the EDC. Red River improved to 7-1 both overall and in the EDC.

Fargo South 57, GF Central 55

FARGO — Fargo South took down Grand Forks Central in overtime in EDC action.

Teigan Malo led South with 19 points. Adie Wagner poured in 18 points.

Morgan Hollgren paced the Knights with 14 points, while Lauren Reardon scored 11.

South improved to 6-6 overall and 5-6 in the EDC. GFC fell to 0-10 overall and 0-9 in the EDC.
