Moorhead 4, Benilde-SM 3 (OT)

ST. LOUIS PARK, Minn. — Moorhead downed Benilde-St. Margaret’s in overtime in Class AA action.

Harper Bentz buried the game winner for the Spuds in overtime on an assist from Aaron Reierson. Gavin Lundberg and Thomas Schroeder tallied two points for the Spuds, each finishing with a goal and an assist. Wyatt Tweet also buried a goal and Carson Triggs had an assist.

Spuds goalie Kai Weigel finished with 34 saves.

Moorhead improved to 3-3 overall, while Benilde-St. Margaret’s fell to 2-3.

Fargo North 6, Devils Lake 3

FARGO — Nathaniel Fritel scored five goals to lift North to an East Region victory over Devils Lake.


Fritel first found the back of the net 2 minutes, 45 seconds into the first period on assists from Brendan Richards and Peter Dorsher to put North up 1-0. Richards gave the Spartans a 2-0 advantage at the 5:16 mark, assisted by Reece Dorsey.

Fritel got to work early in the second period with his third goal of the game at the 4:22 mark, assisted by Ray Walen and Richards. Fritel buried another goal later in the second frame on assists from Maddox Watson and Walen. Fritel scored his fourth and fifth goals in the third period, with assists coming from Owen Branson and Walen, respectively.

Spartans goalie Nolan Astrup tallied 13 saves. North finished with a 55-16 shots-on-goal advantage.

Austin Thompson scored two goals to lead Devils Lake.

North improved to 5-2 overall and 3-2 in the East. Devils Lake dropped to 3-3 overall and 0-3 in the East.


Fargo Davies 8, Williston 1

FARGO — Davies held a 56-2 advantage in shots on goal to fuel a dominant win over Williston, pushing its win streak to four.

Jaidyn Nass struck first for Williston 10 minutes, 7 seconds into the game, but it was all Davies from that point.

Kyle Autrey scored four goals to pace the Eagles. Taylor Severson tallied four points and Morgan Sauvageau finished with three points. Severson scored two goals and dished out two assists, while Sauvageau recorded three assists.


Abby Voeller scored the tying goal for the Eagles in the first period and Mathilde Vetter found the back of the net in the third. Azalea Jorgensen dished out two assists.

Davies rose to 4-0 overall this season, while Williston dropped to 2-2.
